- Little's baby shower is at the Ray's house on Aug. 6 from 4-6. For gifts, bring practical things (diapers, wipes, etc)
- Breakfast sign up is at takethemameal.com Name is Johnson and password is fbct.
- A different caregroup will be going to lunch each Sunday. This will allow us to get together with our care groups more often and get to know our visitors better by inviting them to lunch. This will start in August. Be on the lookout for an email from your caregroup leaders!
- The church is collecting dark colored yarn for the mission trip to Thailand.
- Possible new teacher will be there next week to check out the class!
- Meredith announced the children's choir is looking for help on Sunday nights for the fall.

- Johnsons had an open house Sunday; pray that their house would sell quickly; may they be patient for God's timing
- Praise! Ashleigh Ray got a new job!
- Chris Ray is traveling this week
- Natalie Jackson has to work the next 6 days straight; pray for her as she deals with work, especially angry customers
Announcements
- Little's Baby Shower is August 6, from 4-6p. Hosted by the Rays. More information to come.
- Small groups will start having informal Sunday lunches: Blakelys (1st Sunday), Elams (2nd Sunday), Morgans (3rd Sunday). Basically, the small group leaders will plan to go out for Sunday lunch once a month. If you can attend with your group, feel free...if not, no problem :) We just want to keep our class connected and help the new couples to plug-in easily.
Prayer Requests/Praises
- Meredith Morgan - the worship minister, Keith Martin, from her church she grew up in passed away; pray for his family and friends
- Elams - Praise that my friend's husband made it home safely and on time and before she had their baby! ; my parents left today for a trip to South Africa, please pray for their safety and that they would glorify God while they are there; Joshua's sister, Rachel is coming home Monday from Africa; pray for the people she witnessed to - that they would grasp who God is and how much He loves them; also pray for Rachel; we got an email today asking for prayer because she is sick and is hoping to be able to visit with the villagers the last few days she is there
- Mills - Praise they found people to rent their house in Montgomery!
- Rileys - Conner, the little boy in Zadie's class, is having surgery Wednesday to remove the brain tumor (hope that is right Leigh!); also pray for his mom to do what is best for her son and put her selfishness aside for him; Leigh's niece (4 1/2 years old) has expressed in very grown-up words that she is ready to be saved; praise God He can work through even young children!
- Ashley Horsley's dad is doing great!
- Natalie Jackson's brother-in-law was able to find a job in time so they don't have to pay for insurance (their son has muscular dystrophy); praise God for his perfect timing!
- Little's baby is due Aug. 20; pray for Ashley, her back has been really hurting her
- Johnson's with their move and during this transition time
- Our class - may we be obedient to Him and may we keep growing closer to each other and Him as a class, especially during this time
